TJ Maxx Beauty Haul

by - August 05, 2018

Surprise! It's me again! Two post in two weeks?!?! Who am I? lol. But in all seriousness, like I mentioned in this blog post, I'm in the middle of a break so I decided to dive back into the blog! Hopefully, this will occur more often than not!

In today's post, I wanted to talk about some beauty products I discovered when I went to the new TJ Maxx that just opened in my area not too long ago and see how well they worked or if they worked at all.

When said TJ Maxx opened up in my area, I browsed pretty much every section to see what new offerings they had, but in particular, I knew I had to pick up some beauty products to review for you guys and WOW they did not disappoint! Found some true gems there!

Pearl Essence Coconut Rose Facial Spray

This product was the first thing that caught my eye when I was perusing the skincare aisle of the beauty section. It reminded me of the Herbivore Facial Sprays. However, after looking at the ingredients list on the back, it doesn't even compare to the Herbivore one because there so many hard to pronounce ones! I guess the only thing similar between this one and the Herbivore is the packaging lol, but if you are in the mood for a facial spray that is more affordable, then this would be a good option for you because it was only like $9.99!

The spray itself is actually pretty hydrating and it has a very nice, faint scent to it. It also didn't break my skin out, which is a HUGE plus for me.

Origins "Plantscription" Anti-Aging Hand Cream

Another product that caught my eye when I was perusing the skincare aisle. I love the brand Origins but let's be real, sometimes they're products can be on the pricier side. This hand cream was anything too spectacular, I really just felt compelled to try it because it was on clearance for $5! You can't beat that for price!

The lotion itself is pretty standard as far as lotions go, but I do like how it dissolves sort of quickly into the skin. It's not too greasy of a formula either. I didn't really notice a scent to it, so if your sensitive to smells, you might like this formula.

Beauty Concepts Highlight Blending Pro

I'm always on the hunt for a beauty sponge thats affordable because as any makeup aficionado will tell you, you go through them like water. As of yet, this is the most affordable option I've found as it was only $3.99! What's even better is that it's latex free!

As to how it performs, it worked pretty standard to other beauty sponges but I did notice that it took a while under the faucet to get it really damp.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick

In the makeup section aisle, this product first caught my eye because I love Smashbox as a brand and looking at the price, I knew I couldn't pass this up! It was only $8.99! I got the shade Chai which is a pretty peachy nude with yellow undertones. This is a hydrating formula so it doesn't go matte, but you could easily change that by blotting onto a tissue.

I love the way this shade compliments my pale skin and it works with warmer skin tones as well. This lipstick itself is very small so it could easily fit into any purse or clutch.

Marc Jacobs Kiss Pop Lipstick

This was the second beauty product to catch my eye in the makeup section. Marc Jacobs also has some pretty bomb beauty products, so I knew when I had the opportunity to purchase this cheaper version, I had to grab it! It was only $12 which is a steal imo! This is also a hydrating formula so it won't dry down matte either but it is the prettiest shade of red! I got the shade Pop Rock which is a strawberry red.

This shade has undertones of orange so it is quite vibrant but would be a great statement lip. This lipstick is also travel sized and will fit into a purse or clutch easily. The lipstick is in the shape of a crayon, which really makes it fun to apply!
